Our Occupational Therapy Co-founders
Nahail qualified as an Occupational Therapist from St Bartholomew's School of Medicine and Dentistry London University in 2000. She has worked in a range of NHS clinical settings including elderly care, neurological rehabilitation and wheelchair service.
Nahail has developed extensive specialist clinical skills within an intermediate care setting as a Band 7 clinician managing complex neurological cases, leading the falls service and providing management, training and development for multidisciplinary team.
Nahail has used her specialist skills working on an international voluntary project providing wheelchairs, specialist equipment and training to the local health organisations in supporting the earthquake victims.
Zinka has worked in Social and Health care since 2000 across acute, long term and intermediate care settings. Zinka has a passion for promoting well-being and enabling individuals reach their functional potential in the community. Since 2014 Zinka has developed clinical specialist interest in Frailty and Dementia. She utilises Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) to identify frailty needs, support clients with complex needs and improve outcomes.
Zinka qualified with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy at London South Bank University in 2009 and since has developed a wide range of clinical interests in community rehabilitation, complex case management and frailty, manual handling and specialist equipment and adaptations. In 2016 Zinka has gained further Post graduate qualifications in Physical Assessment of Adults from Buckinghamshire New University which enables her to carry out a comprehensive and holistic assessment and treatment planning for clients with complex needs (i.e. multiple co-morbidiites or long term conditions, long term disabilities and frailty)
Before becoming an Occupational Therapist, Zinka trained as (BSc Hons) Sports Scientist and Holistic Massage Therapist (ITEC Dip) which she still practices as a complementary therapy with her clients.
Zinka is a professional member of Royal College of Occupational Therapist (RCOT www.rcot.co.uk/ ) and British Geriatric Society (BGS www.bgs.org.uk) and is registered with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC hcpc-uk.org/audiences/registrants/).
